Just picked up my order, and I love my senior pictures SO much! Rebecca was a lot of fun to do the shoot with! She has so many good ideas for fun poses and angles. So so happy with how they all turned out!
Rebecca is a true professional! She has wonderful ideas about shoot locations and is willing to help with suggestions for clothing options to optimize your photos. The hardest part is choosing from all of the fabulous pictures. Of course, Rebecca helps with that, too! I highly recommend You-nique Photography and will be back again!!
“I almost cried with joy when I opened our family portrait canvases!! They are absolutely beautiful.
Our family had not had family portraits taken in so long, and after a family member suggested it, I jumped on it! I'm so glad I did!
Rebecca, thank you for being so accommodating and
making our photo shoot so enjoyable with lots of laughs. It's hard to put into words how a family portrait makes a mom feel- Such pride and love for my family every time I look at them. My heart is so happy to have these priceless portraits in our home!”
Thank you, thank you X0
"After years of bad school pictures, my daughter was very nervous about her senior pictures, but Rebecca was very kind and easy to work with. Her expertise on best locations and poses were perfect. The pictures came out amazing! The album was beautiful! We had so many beautiful pictures to choose from. We could not be happier with the outcome! Can't wait to work with you again soon!"
Simply fill out the online contact form or call Rebecca to schedule a consultation. You'll get to see sample albums and other products so you understand the options you'll get to choose from. This will help us figure out the location(s), outfits and photo products you and your senior like best.
While you are at your consultation, we'll find a date that works with both of our schedules and you will book & pay for your session then. I typically book up 3-6 weeks in advance. If you are working around a fall sports season or college visits, keep that in mind and try to plan ahead before your schedule gets busier!
At your consultation, you will receive a packet full of everything you need to prepare for your session. It includes a "What to Wear" guide and lots of tips on how to look your best for your session! You will also fill out an online form to help me get a better idea of how I can make your session best reflect your style & personality. We will touch base via phone or text a few days ahead of your shoot to confirm our plan & discuss any special requests you have.
This is when we put our plan into action! Show up ready to go with your clothes on hangers, accessories, and any props. I will guide you every step of the way, so just relax and have fun! We will have a lot of fun capturing a variety of poses and backgrounds, and I will make sure to get plenty of amazing images you'll all love!
About 2 weeks after your session, Rebecca will contact you to set up your ordering appointment. To be best prepared for this appointment, decide which walls or areas you'd like to use to display your custom artwork, and make a list of family & friends that you'd like to gift with photographs. All decision makers should be present at this appointment, as only one is included with your session. You will watch a slideshow set to music of a selection of images from your session, and then you'll choose your favorites & place your order.
Don't worry that you won't be able to make up your mind! I have flexible packages and a la carte options, so you can get everything you want! I've helped many people through this process, and trust me, it's so nice to get it done with guidance and not have it hanging over your head! This appointment typically lasts about 60-90 minutes if you are well-prepared, but it can take longer, so please allow plenty of time so you don't feel rushed.
Your artwork and albums will arrive within 4 weeks after placing your order. I'll give you a call when everything is in and set up a time for you to stop by and pick them up! I can't wait for you to receive your beautiful new products to enjoy!
I take the pressure off of you and show you great location ideas for your session, but you are also welcome to come up with ideas! From farm to field, lake, flower gardens, vineyards, bridges, and stone archways, I've got plenty of amazing locations that photograph beautifully and provide a variety of backdrops you are sure to love! School sports fields are also popular with my high school senior athletes.
Although locations with nice backgrounds are important, lighting is essential for beautiful portraits, so that is something you will need to rely on my professional opinion for (time of day, how to stand in relation to the sun, etc.) The number of locations will depend on the type of session booked. My most popular senior session includes 2 locations.
I generally book out about 1-2 months in advance, but sometimes I have availability sooner than that, so it's worth asking!
August and September are my busiest months, but July and October are popular as well. Yes, I do require a non-refundable retainer to secure a date and book your session. In the event you need to cancel your session, the retainer is non-refundable (but can be used for a different date if you need to reschedule and give prior notice.
For high school Seniors, you can schedule anytime between spring of your Junior year and spring of your Senior year. If you want to meet most high school yearbook deadlines, I highly recommend scheduling at least 4 weeks before your yearbook deadline.
The short answer is yes! If your pet is like another family member to you and you want to include them, just let me know! It may affect where we can shoot, but I'd love to have you bring your pet.
For Seniors: Your high school senior photo shoot is probably the one time in your life where the photo session is truly ALL about YOU! So definitely bring what is important to you, whether that's a special pet, musical instrument, sports memorabilia or even your car. I may have location suggestions that would work better for different ideas.
Evening light is the most flattering and ideal, so for most locations, we schedule to start about 2-3 hours prior to sunset. I schedule clients Monday-Thursday. On occasion I schedule a sunrise shoot, but they are not typically our first option. I make accommodations for a Saturday session if you are traveling from more than 3 hours away or for extended family sessions. There is an upcharge of $100 for Saturday sessions.
Turnaround time is about 2-3 weeks so the custom editing process can occur. Within 2 weeks of your session, Rebecca will contact you to set up your Ordering Appointment, which usually occurs soon afterwards if your schedule allows for a daytime appointment. If you need an evening Ordering Appointment, it usually takes longer, as most available evenings are booked with photo sessions.
Don't panic if the weather forecast doesn't look ideal! Most of the time, even if it does rain, it just passes through, especially in the summer. For this reason, we often don't make the decision to reschedule until a few hours before your session. Overcast days can actually be nice for sessions, so if it's overcast, we will usually go forward with your session. I always build rain dates into my schedule, so don't worry, I've got you covered!
I will watch the weather the day of your session, keep in contact with you and make the best decision for your shoot with at least a few hours notice. I can't tell you how many times someone wanted to reschedule due to possible rain and then we get a beautiful evening! We may need to reschedule, but we will get your shoot done!
Don't worry! I am here to help! Every client has a pre-session consultation where you see lots of examples, I give you a What to Wear guide to take home, and we discuss lots of ideas and suggestions to help you look your best!
I will watch the weather leading up to the day of your session and keep in contact with you. We will make the best decision for your shoot prior to your getting ready. We may need to reschedule your shoot, but we will definitely get it done! I purposely reserve some days as raindates in case this happens.
You will be able to choose from prints, collages, gallery wraps, fine art metal prints, albums, digital files and more! Custom grad announcements, thank you notes, party invitations, Christmas cards, and gift items are also available! I specialize in providing finished products so you can actually ENJOY your artwork and feel like you really got something beautiful and meaningful from your session. Too often we get overwhelmed with life and don't get things printed even though we mean to! I'm here to help you preserve these special memories with artwork you love having and is heirloom quality so it won't fade or get ruined over time.
You will have the pricing option to include the final, retouched images from your gallery as high resolution digital negatives with a print release document. You will be able to add them to your order in smaller sets, or as the entire gallery. There are a variety of options to fit your budget and needs. We also have pricing options that include prints and products without the digital images.
I never want pricing to be confusing or a secret. The reason why I don't provide full pricing online is that it wouldn't make much sense to you without the context of seeing the items yourself in person so you can really see what they are, the size, quality of the materials, and design options. All of that is covered in full at your pre-session consultation, and you will receive a printed copy of all the pricing to take home and review as well.
Sessions begin at $200 for Families and Seniors, and that retainer is due at the time of booking. All other purchasing decisions are made at the Ordering appointment. You may order a la carte, purchase a Collection (package), or a combination of both. Collections start at $550 for Seniors and $850 for families and offer a savings with some of my most frequently ordered products.
It is most popular to choose a Collection and then add on other items you wish to purchase. As a general guideline, you should plan to invest $800-3500+ on prints, products, and digital negatives, depending on your exact needs. We will go over everything in full detail at your pre-session consultation, and you will take home the full pricing menu so you will have time to think about what you'd like to order before your Ordering appointment comes.
"I just got my portrait order back from Rebecca. Our Canvas wrap and custom collage are my favorites! I am so excited as they are truly beautiful! Rebecca was willing to go anywhere and do anything my son dreamed up. She brought out an easy smile that can be difficult to get, and he felt at ease with her. Thank you Rebecca for mastering the senior pictures!
I love them!"
